Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a DBA Service Line Manager in Folsom, CA. You will lead end-to-end DBA service delivery across on-prem and cloud, providing Oracle DB administration leadership, performance tuning and incident management.

You will drive cloud migrations, manage Exadata platforms, and oversee SLA-driven support while mentoring multiple shifts of DBAs. Collaboration with customers and leadership will shape governance reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end DBA service delivery across on-premises and cloud.
• Expertise in Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end DBA service delivery across on-premises and cloud.
• Provide technical leadership for Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management activities.
• Drive Oracle Cloud and database migration initiatives, including on-premises to cloud transformation programs.
• Oversee ticket, incident, problem, and change management processes while ensuring adherence to SLAs, operational metrics, and customer commitments.
• Lead and mentor DBA teams working across multiple shifts, providing guidance, resource planning, escalation management, and delivery governance.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and successfully deliver database-related projects and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and present governance reports, operational dashboards, service reviews, risks, and improvement plans to leadership and customer stakeholders.

• Manage and support Oracle Exadata platforms, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, patching, and operational stability.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 to $110,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
