Job summary

NovamentUSA is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support DB2 LUW environments and multiple platforms across our nearshore teams in Mexico. The role emphasizes performance tuning, query support, and proactive collaboration with a senior DBA to handle escalations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience (23 years acceptable for strong technical skills), high-level English, and availability for a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience preferred; strong technical skills accepted at 23 years.
• Support application teams with DB-related tasks and tuning.
• Proficient English communication required for team collaboration and escalations.
• Experience with DB2 LUW; exposure to other platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support application teams with object creation and query assistance.
• Provide Level 1 support for DB performance and cleanup.
• Collaborate with senior DBA on escalations.
• Work with DB2 LUW and other platforms (Oracle, Postgres, etc.).
