Seeking an experienced DB2LUW database administrator to lead the setup, configuration and knowledge transfer of a new installation of IBM DB2LUW in AWS.
Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite work, locals preferred)
Assignment: 3 months – 5 months contract
Rate: Open
Standardized Summary of Qualifications
- BA / BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred) or 6‑8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines
- Advanced degree a plus
- Minimum years of experience may be reduced for a candidate who has previously and continuously demonstrated highly effective performance
- Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
- Mainframe IBM DB2 experience required
- In‑depth understanding of applicable products and/or services and client needs and expectations
- Ability to question established work processes and procedures
- Advanced knowledge, skills and experience to perform all work requirements for the specific technical discipline; also proficient in advanced features and functions for the discipline
- Sound leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Education Requirement: At minimum completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D., unless higher education is specified for the position
