Job summary

SDI Lafarga Copperworks is seeking a shift-based electrical technician responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance across the facility. The role includes training for the future shift electrician position and adhering to stringent safety standards.

You will troubleshoot electrical equipment, support with SOPs/JSAs, and work with shift personnel to ensure reliable operation and compliance with Cardinal Life Saving Programs. A proactive learner is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read electrical prints and diagrams.
• Experience with electrical installation, controls, networking, or maintenance.
• Must be able to read electrical prints.
• Cardinal Life Saving Programs knowledge is required.
• Self-starter with ability to learn and seek guidance.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute preventative/corrective maintenance throughout the facility.

• Demonstrate the highest standards of safety values and beliefs.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment.
• Provide shift support, as necessary.
• Assist with creation and validation of SOPs, JSAs, and Lock Out Procedures.
• Train with shift personnel.
• Perform electrical tasks under supervision of an electrician.

Required

• Willingness to be promoted to shift electrician position.
• Substantial knowledge of the Cardinal Life Saving Programs.
• Previous electrical installation, controls, networking, or maintenance experience
• Must be able to read electrical prints.
• Must possess a well-defined sense of hazard awareness and recognition.
• Self-starter with ability to learn and seek guidance.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

• Formal technical education.
