Job summary

nVent is seeking a Material Handler for its Dayton distribution center. You will perform receiving, picking, and loading activities to ensure accurate orders and inventory, operating forklifts and related equipment in a safe, compliant environment. First shift is Monday–Friday 6:00AM–2:30PM.

Ideal candidates have forklift experience and warehouse exposure, with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Certification must be obtained within five days of placement.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification within five working days of placement.
• Experience in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Follow standardized work instructions.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, picking, checking, and loading per SOPs and work instructions.
• Accurately complete system transactions to maintain inventory integrity.
• Operate forklifts, RF scanners, shrink wrappers, dock equipment, and related tools.
• Conduct required equipment safety checks and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support material flow including put-away, replenishment, and line service activities.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and safety performance standards.
