Job summary

Salado Equine Medical Center in Salado, TX is seeking a daytime Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with exams, treatments, and imaging in a busy equine practice.

You must have equine experience, be able to handle horses, perform basic diagnostics, administer medications, and maintain aseptic techniques. Training is available; 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with a collaborative team and benefits.

Qualifications

• Equine experience required.
• 1 year of horse handling experience required.
• Experience with X-ray operation and basic diagnostics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Restraint and handling of horses and foals.
• Conduct thorough examinations and basic diagnostics.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per protocols.
• Prepare animals for diagnostic imaging and maintain aseptic techniques.
