Job summary

Potbelly Corporate in Roseville, MI is hiring a daytime Team Member to open the shop, prep food and serve customers in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen; knife skills are a plus.
• Able to manage allergens (peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish).
• Team player.
• Able to stand/walk 3+ hours; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois applicants: must become food safety certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Follow health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream).
• If 18 or older, operate the automatic slicer.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow cash handling procedures.
• Address customer complaints/issues effectively.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
