Job summary

Waukee Community School District is hiring a Day Flex Custodian for the Operations Facility in Waukee, IA. The role is full-time, starting immediately, with a pay rate of $18.11 per hour.

You will perform cleaning tasks, restroom maintenance, operate cleaning equipment, handle basic maintenance, enter work orders, and support deep cleaning and preventative tasks as scheduled. Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and 0-2 years custodial experience (3-5 preferred); background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Custodial experience: 0-2 years required, 3-5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning including vacuuming floors, desk/table tops, trash & recycling, sinks and windows, tile floor mopping; lifting and moving tables daily.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, scrubber, etc).
• Perform routine maintenance such as fixing lockers and changing batteries and lightbulbs.
• Enter work orders as necessary; perform preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.
• Conduct deep cleaning as required.
