Job summary

Independent School District 196 in Rosemount, MN is seeking a part-time Custodial Aide to support the lunchroom and building cleanliness. This 4 hours per day, 10-month position runs 10:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., with duties including trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliability, ability to follow instructions, and a respectful, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 30lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
• Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
• Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
• Must have positive work performance evaluations. Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
• Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the cafeteria area during lunch, remove trash, sweep and mop floor, etc.
• Assist in school recycling program.
• Pickup trash and sweep throughout the building.
• Spot clean walls, lockers, and entry glass.
• Perform duties in a timely, neat and efficient manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
