Job summary

Cayuga Health System in Ithaca, New York, is seeking a Production Cook to prepare meals for residents, patients, employees and visitors in a full-time daytime role.

You will follow recipes, assist with menu development, maintain food safety standards, log temperatures, and manage storage and production areas. This on-site position offers an hourly wage of $17.00–$22.10.

Onsite travel is 100% required. Previous cooking in large-scale or healthcare environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of cooking/food production.
• 1 year food safety experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for service per recipe
• Assist with menu and recipe development
• Adhere to all local, state and federal food safety and sanitation codes
• Accurately complete all temperature logs to ensure food safety
• Maintain all food storage and production areas in inspection-ready condition.
• Monitor overproduction to minimize waste
• Serve patrons and complete sales via POS in retail outlet
• Daily use of Food Service Management software for production sheets
