Shields HealthCare, founded in 1972, seeks a part-time Per Diem Patient Care Assistant in North Chelmsford, MA. The PCA will support nurses, assist with patient prep, transport, and daily living activities during ambulatory surgery visits, ensuring comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/PCT/MA or equivalent training preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admitting, preparing, and discharging patients under RN supervision.
• Escort patients throughout the facility to preop/postop/discharge areas.
• Document vital signs, height, weight, pain assessments, and other clinical information.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient positioning.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas and equipment.
