Job summary

Newtown Dentistry is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team in Newtown, PA. Work with the surgeon and staff to deliver safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing procedures with IV sedation in a private office setting.

The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies. This is a daytime, part-time role with potential to grow into full time and includes comprehensive

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 1+ year in critical care, ED, PACU or peri-operative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history, meds, allergies, and NPO status; report anesthetic risks.
• Obtain baseline vitals and pre-operative assessments.
• Establish and maintain IV access for sedated procedures.
• Confirm informed consent and escort presence for patients.
• Educate patients on procedure expectations and discharge.
• Monitor patients pre-, during, and post-procedure and report changes.
• Document all interactions and vitals in the EHR; support surgeon and team.
