Job summary

The Big Biscuit is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage waitlists, and escort visitors to tables in a fast‑paced breakfast and lunch setting.

You will maintain a clean host stand, coordinate seating flow with servers, and provide positive service during peak hours on weekdays and weekends. This part‑time role is ideal for someone dependable who thrives in a team and enjoys a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift (4–8 hours).
• Lift and carry up to 20 pounds as needed.
• Maintain a positive, service-oriented mindset and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Manage the waitlist, quote accurate wait times, and communicate seating flow.
• Escort guests to tables and ensure menus and seating areas are clean.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and lobby.
• Answer phones, take to-go orders accurately, and assist with curbside pickup.
• Communicate table availability and rotation to support fair seating.
• Assist with bussing and resetting tables during peak times.
• Provide positive interactions with guests throughout their visit.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Support front-of-house team with additional tasks as needed.
