Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a General Cleaner in Columbus, GA to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. The role is Monday through Friday, full-time, during the day, with a pay rate of $10.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments, including ten-year work history if available

Responsibilities

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them following procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts/polishes light fixtures; washes/replaces blinds
• Moves furniture and equipment to access areas and assists with cleaning
• Prepares cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents according to specifications
• Cleans/restrooms; takes out trash; cleans windows and glass surfaces; polishes furniture
• Gathers supplies and maintains janitor's closet; may perform basic repairs and seasonal tasks
