Job summary

ABM is seeking a Cleaner to perform cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas on a full-time, day-shift basis. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, restocking, and sanitizing restrooms, with occasional setup for events. Must be at least 18 and able to work in ATS environments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.

Responsibilities

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them using cleaners and equipment.
• Dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings; polishes light fixtures; washes blinds.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Removes stains with chemicals; seasons tasks like snow removal as needed.
• Prepares cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids.
• Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans carpets and upholstery; applies spot cleaning treatments.
• Empties trash and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures; maintains restrooms.
• Cleans interior glass, windows, mirrors; uses soapy water and tools.
• Monitors security and safety; locks doors after hours; checks electrical use if needed.
• May drive vehicles to cleaning sites (when required).
• May perform basic repairs and other duties as assigned.
