Job summary

YMCA of the North is seeking Custodian II at Forest Lake YMCA to uphold cleanliness, janitorial services, and building maintenance. Shifts vary; full-time staff receive a free YMCA membership and program discounts.

The role includes duties such as mopping, window washing, lawn care, snow removal, and meeting setup. Wage is $17.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing if needed.
• Must be able and willing to develop.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
• Willingness to learn and share new and better methods of cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Complete all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintain daily upkeep of assigned area and equipment.
• Perform janitorial duties including mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, meeting setup, pool cleaning, lawn care and snow removal.
• Record all needed repairs, report to supervisor, and follow up with staff.
• Ensure building security during shift and report incidents to supervisor.
