Job summary
Family Transitions, Inc. is seeking a qualified Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in the Petersburg area. Shift runs 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, offering a stable daytime schedule.
The role involves assisting with ADLs, implementing ISP-directed care, administering medications, and monitoring health conditions. Applicants must have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and pass a background check and TB screening.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience with adults who have developmental/intellectual disabilities.
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Investigation.
- Must complete TB screening upon employment and annually thereafter.
- Current certification in behavioral management, CPR, and First Aid.
Responsibilities
- Assist or inspect individuals on ADLs.
- Provide care per ISP.
- Administer medication as necessary.
- Monitor health conditions (seizures, diabetes, etc.).
- Transport individuals to activities as specified by supervisor.
- Complete required clinical documentation.
