Job summary

Brookville Center for Children's Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Freeport location. The role runs Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 40 hours weekly.

The position offers a starting wage of $15.00 per hour with potential to $16.00 based on experience and qualifications, and requires a valid NYS driver’s license. Prior work with individuals with IDD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required and must remain valid.
• Experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports volunteers to and from the program site and community activities.
• Assists volunteers in achieving personal growth and community participation.
• Ensures safety of volunteers at program sites and hub locations.
• Acts as liaison between volunteers’ job-site staff and program volunteers.
