Job summary
Indyfiberandsurfacecleaning is seeking a dependable janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facility. You will perform dusting, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, waste disposal and daily upkeep with attention to detail.
A strong work ethic and experience with cleaning equipment are valued; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation help, and the role offers competitive pay and opportunities for advancement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 5 years of janitorial experience.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
- Good stamina and attention to detail.
- Experience with cleaning equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of common areas and safety of the buildings.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Clean window sills, supply restrooms, report issues, request supplies.
- Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees.
- Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete.
- Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs.
