Job summary

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is seeking an experienced psychiatric nurse (RN) for an on-site clinic in Lyons, NY. The role focuses on medication management, metabolic monitoring, and patient education, with collaboration alongside prescribers and care managers.

Work hours are daytime, weekdays only, with premium hourly pay and up to $1,500/year tuition assistance toward your BSN. NY license renewal and CPR renewal are reimbursed, and ongoing CE/certifications are supported.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current BLS (CPR).
• One year of recent RN experience including psychiatric, behavioral health or substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document oral and injectable psychiatric medications, including long-acting injectables.
• Monitor vital signs, metabolic screening and side effects, and keep the prescriber informed.
• Teach patients and families about their medications and treatment plans.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists and care managers.
• Document in the clinic's electronic health record and respond to clinical emergencies per clinic protocol.
