Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Coffee Shop Barista to greet customers and craft beverages in a fast-paced store environment. You will keep the coffee shop stocked, take orders at the counter or over the phone, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile.

Daily duties include preparing beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers with product questions. No degree required; prior service experience is helpful and daytime shifts are available.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma required; up to six months related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods and stay organized in a fast-paced coffee shop.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver outstanding service.
• Take orders at counter and over the phone; assist with product finding and questions.
• Prepare and replenish coffee shop items; monitor freshness and stay ahead of daily needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; follow dress code and policies.
• Operate the register and process payments; handle invoices as needed.
