Job summary

NHC HealthCare Franklin is seeking a dependable Baker/Assistant Cook for daytime hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM), five days a week, to join our Food and Nutrition Services team! You'll prepare and bake desserts, assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and follow menus and dietary requirements to provide nutritious meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking or cooking preferred.
• Ability to prepare desserts and meals following recipes and menus.
• Attention to cleanliness and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake desserts and other menu items for resident meals.
• Assist with meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Follow daily menus, production sheets, standardized recipes, and special dietary requirements.
• Prepare cold foods, side dishes, and other items needed for meal service.
• Keep the tray line refrigerator stocked, organized, and ready for service.
• Wash, clean, and properly store pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
