Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide non-medical assistance to a 48-year-old male in his home. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care, companionship, and support to children or disabled individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This is a full-time, 30-hour-a-week position from Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
2. Help with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and general cleaning.
3. Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
4. Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
5. Ensure the client’s home environment is safe and comfortable.
6. Provide medication reminders (non-medical assistance).
7. Monitor the well-being of the client and communicate any changes to family members or supervisors.
8. Assist with running errands such as grocery shopping, appointments, and other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required.
2. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
3. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
4. Reliable and punctual.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Ability to lift and assist with mobility if needed.
7. Must pass background check and drug screening.
8. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).

Additional Information:

At Allied Adult, we work with HCBS Medicaid waiver patients needing help in the home. Each patient has different needs, and we will match you accordingly based on your experience level and personality. We understand it can be nerve-wracking entering homes of strangers, so we offer meet-and-greet sessions where you can introduce yourself, learn about the patient's story, and discuss their care plan. Our goal is to treat our clients as we would our own family.

We are very flexible with scheduling and will match clients to your availability. We use maps to inform you how far clients are and try to keep you close to home whenever possible. The onboarding process is conducted online through our employee portal. After completing paperwork, background checks, and drug screens, we conduct an online video call orientation.
