Role Overview

The Strategic Business Analyst is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the business vision, goals, and needs for the Dayshape program. This role involves providing business and technical support to internal teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the Dayshape platform. The analyst will proactively monitor and review integration logs, support data issues, test new product enhancements, and deliver excellent customer service.

Essential Duties

1. Strategic Business Analysis Planning & Execution:
   • Lead enterprise analysis activities.
   • Participate in product road mapping activities.
   • Provide strategic recommendations for current and upcoming work products.
   • Assist product owners and managers with backlog management.
2. Agile Business Analysis Planning & Execution:
   • Lead requirements elicitation sessions.
   • Document user stories and acceptance criteria.
   • Develop supporting documentation, including state flow diagrams and data mapping.
   • Work independently and with Product Designers to develop user interface designs.
   • Collaborate with technical and QA teams to size and validate user stories.
3. Community of Practice Support & Process Improvement:
   • Ensure RMO Community of Practice Standards are followed.
   • Promote agile adoption and understanding.
   • Offer insights and process improvement ideas to community of practice leaders.
4. Dayshape Platform Support:
   • Review integration logs daily between Dayshape and Workday.
   • Triages errors in integration syncs.
   • Support data mapping and product enhancement requirements.
   • Assist in testing and deploying new functionalities.
   • Support regression testing for changes to integrated systems.
   • Maintain repository of manual upload files.
   • Manage migration of unlinked projects to linked projects.
   • Maintain Users and User Groups.
   • Review trouble tickets weekly with leadership for escalation.
   • Monitor support metrics.
   • Update support process and documentation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to analyze backend systems, data mapping, microservices.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools.

Specific Requirements

• Ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques and product design concepts.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work across time zones.
• Detail-oriented, motivated, with initiative.

Experience

• At least 8 years in business analysis within a development environment.
• Experience with product management, vendor relationships, structured and object-oriented analysis.
• Operational process improvement experience.
• Experience with scheduling, workforce planning, or professional services automation tools.

Management

• Experience supervising small teams of BA resources for complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dayshape, Workday (Projects & Resource Management).
• Certifications: CBAP, AAC.
• Professional services experience.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
