The Role

As a member of the HCM Optimization team, the Dayforce Configuration Analyst participates in all stages of the development lifecycle for Employer /Customer Open Enrollment and other client projects throughout the year. You will use your strong technical background to add or change Plans, Carriers, and Eligibility rules; you will run Re-calc’s and update New Hire and Life Events. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring that our organization is able to support the needs of our clients and their employees.

From creating and applying qualifiers to define eligibility rules for plans, options, rates, enrollments and tax; from Plan design changes to rate updates, from testing to deployment to production, this role requires attention to detail, strong understanding of the Benefit domain, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, business critical environment.

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Client Manager will support the full life cycle of projects from discovery, documentation, configuration, testing, deployment, through post go-live support.

The Job

  • Work directly with Employer /Customer
  • Facilitate meetings (online) and document meeting minutes
  • Gather and document business requirements
  • Set and manage Employer /Customer and vendor expectations; consult toward best practices as applicable
  • Collaborate with Project team to configure and maintain client benefits plans (ex. medical, dental, vision, reimbursement) within the HCM system.
  • Translate client benefit plan requirements into system configurations; document updates for client sign off and reference.
  • Unit test configurations to ensure alignment with plan rules. Identify and resolve issues
  • Provide technical support to internal and client teams on benefits system related issues; collaborate with administrators when necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of HR/Benefits regulations, HCM enhancements and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline benefits configuration or business processes for Plan Sponsors as well as within BenefitScape
  • Propose enhancements or efficiencies to processes and documentation.
  • Based on Benefits updates made, identify and recommend updates in other system modules
  • Contribute to documentation related to Benefits Configuration; lead and participate in peer-to-peer training sessions.
  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously; prioritize work with management as needed
  • Track and provide status on projects, identify risks, work with team on mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to defined process governance protocols
  • Manage timelines in accordance with each project
  • Attend internal project meetings, provide status on activities and deliverables
  • Identify risks and communicate issues to General Manager and Stakeholders
  • Foster a positive collaborative work environment to enhance productivity and engagement

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Information Systems
  • Minimum 10 years experience with HCM systems, specific focus on benefits configuration
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A self-starter with a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration and relevant regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with laser focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at collecting and documenting requirements
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
