Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher to create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for infants. You will plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program while demonstrating professional conduct and prioritizing children's safety and well-being.

As part of a team, you will support families through responsive care, play, exploration, and daily routines, reporting to Center Leadership and collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality early

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be of good character and reputation.
  • Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children.
  • Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management, and parents.
  • Must be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of infant growth and development.
  • Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by State and company regulations and policies.
  • Infant CPR (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the Infant program in alignment with company policies, philosophies, and procedures.
  • Compile individual observation and feeding/diapering reports daily, maintaining a file on each child and supplying daily communication to parents.
  • Report incidents to the Center Leadership team and work with leadership for resolution and classroom improvement.
  • Maintain a "Tour Ready" classroom.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
  • Support center staff and help maintain the general appearance of the center and its common areas.

Reporting Responsibilities:

The ECE Teacher reports directly to the Center Leadership team.

Job Description:

The ECE Teacher will plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program as designated by The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the safety and well-being of the children. The Infant Caregiver will serve in a co-teaching capacity based on center enrollment.

Qualifications:

The ECE Teacher must comply with the minimum educational standards as set forth by the company and current governmental regulations.

Experience:

Previous experience caring for young children, 6 weeks - 5 years of age.

Requirements and Certifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Working Conditions:

The ECE Teacher shall be primarily assigned to a single childcare center and be able to provide care during normal center hours and adhere to a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

First and foremost, the ECE Teacher responsibility will be to maintain the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the Infant program in alignment with company policies, philosophies, and procedures. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all current governmental rules and regulations that pertain to the operation of The Learning Experience centers
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Student Enrollment Packet, and Curriculum Guides
  • Must implement and follow all childcare procedures as mandated in the current governmental rules and regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Compile individual observation and feeding/diapering reports on daily basis, maintaining a file on each child as well as supplying the parents with daily communication letter
  • Report all incidents immediately to the Center Leadership team, filing the appropriate form and working with the Center Leadership team for resolution and classroom improvement
  • Maintain "Tour Ready" classroom
  • Attend meetings as requested

The ECE Teacher performance will be deemed acceptable when he/she:

  • Implements the curriculum program and manages a childcare class to the satisfaction of the Center Leadership team, Franchise team, and Corporate Office

  • Resolves issues in a timely manner
  • Follows procedural and record keeping duties accurately and efficiently
  • Understands the needs of the children
  • Handles constructive feedback and suggestions in a professional manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to teach and re-teach individuals educational skills incorporating different styles of learning on a developmentally appropriate levels and keeps accurate records of the child's progress
  • Adapts well to change
