Job summary

The Learning Experience in New Jersey is seeking an Infant Caregiver/Teacher to nurture and support our youngest learners. You will plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program in a safe, loving environment, serving in a co-teaching capacity to meet center enrollment.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, team-oriented, and committed to development through responsive care, play, daily routines, and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Be of good character and reputation.
• Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
• Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children.
• Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management and parents.
• Must be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of infant growth and development.
• Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by State and company regulations and policies.
• Infant CPR (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all current governmental rules and regulations that pertain to the operation of The Learning Experience centers.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Student Enrollment Packet, and Curriculum Guides.
• Must implement and follow all infant care procedures as mandated in the current governmental rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Compile individual observation and feeding/diapering reports on daily basis, maintaining a file on each child as well as supplying the parents with daily communication letter.
• Report all incidents immediately to the Center Leadership team, filing the appropriate form and working with the Center Leadership team for resolution and classroom improvement.
• Maintain "Tour Ready" classroom
• Attend meetings as requested
• Support center staff as requested
• Help to maintain the general appearance of the center and its common areas

Reporting Responsibilities:

The Infant Caregiver reports directly to the Center Leadership team.

Job Description:

The Infant Caregiver will plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program as designated by The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the safety and well-being of the children. The Infant Caregiver will serve in a co-teaching capacity based on center enrollment.

Qualifications:

The Infant Caregiver must comply with the minimum educational standards as set forth by the company and current governmental regulations.

Experience:

Previous experience caring for infants ages 6 weeks to one year.

Requirements and Certifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Be of good character and reputation
• Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional heath to perform job duties satisfactorily
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs

Working Conditions:

The Infant Caregiver shall be primarily assigned to a single childcare center and be able to provide care during normal center hours and adhere to a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
