Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice in Pennsylvania is seeking Direct Care Staff to support daily childcare tasks, administer basic medical care under RN guidance, and provide structured play and therapeutic activities.

You will monitor patient data, assist with safe transportation, maintain a clean, engaging environment, and contribute to social events and developmental milestones. BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children preferred.
• Healthcare, patient care, or child care experience strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

THE POSITION:

As a member of our Direct Care Staff, you will:

• Assist with daily childcare tasks and complex medical care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Provide structured, age-appropriate play and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor and record patient data, vital signs, and responses to care.
• Help with transporting children to and from the center, ensuring their safety during travel.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Support social events, play activities, and developmental milestones.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children preferred.
• Previous healthcare, patient care, or child care experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care to children with complex medical needs.
• 18 years of age or older.
