The Sunshine House in Huntersville, NC is hiring a Daycare Cook / Bus Driver. You will prepare meals for children and staff, follow menus and health guidelines, and transport children safely on a daily route. We value a clean driving record, a passion for early childhood education, and reliability.

Earn $16.00-$18.00 per hour with opportunities for higher pay with education and tenure. We offer comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and growth opportunities within our family of schools.

Qualificações

• Experience cooking for large groups, preferably in childcare.
• Experience transporting children in a vehicle or working in licensed childcare is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Serv Safe preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Cook: Prepare and distribute meals for children and staff per menus and guidelines.
• Follow USDA/licensing/health dept regulations; ensure safe food prep and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory and assist in classroom breaks as needed.

Pay Range

$16.00-$18.00

Candidates with advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.

• Passion for working with young children.

• At least 21-years-old.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must have clean driving record (no more than 2 violations in the last 5 years)
• Previous experience transporting children in a commercial vehicle or working in licensed childcare or afterschool program preferred
• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large group food service, preferably in a childcare center
• Serv Safe preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks & health assessments.

Cook Responsibilities

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large group food service, preferably in a childcare center, preferred.
• SERV Safe certification preferred.
• Prepares and distributes meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
• Follows daily menu that incorporates USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.
• Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
• Must be willing to work in the classroom to cover breaks.

Driver Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to/from area elementary schools and field trips in a small bus.
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
• Complete safety checks and drills.
