Job summary

Little Builders Group Family Daycare is seeking a Daycare Assistant to supervise children, support development through activities, and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

The position is full-time and located in New York. You will assist with caregiving tasks, communicate with families, and help uphold health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool or early childhood education settings.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific needs.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle behavior management techniques with patience and professionalism.
  • Experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying is beneficial.
  • Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention.
  • Passion for early childhood education.

  • Help with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed.
  • Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly.
  • Support staff in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR procedures.
