Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Union City, CA to plan, direct and coordinate warehouse operations under the guidance of the Manager or Director.

You will drive performance, productivity, and profitability through effective methods and strategies. You will lead a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product launches and on-time delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience in management.
• In lieu of degree, 5 years of relevant experience accepted.
• Minimum five years in a high-level management role with P&L responsibility.
• Produce or food distribution experience required.
• Working knowledge of USDA & FDA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, warehousing, and control of materials from forecast to finished goods inventory.
• Ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in product planning to ensure timely material acquisition for launches.
• Oversee all warehouse operations and drive efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Manage delivery of finished goods to customers and optimize processes.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor, under the supervision of the Manager and/or Director, plans, directs and coordinates the operations of the organization. The Sueprvisor is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Oversees the activities of all functions involved in the planning, warehousing and control of materials -- from the development of forecasted replenishment needs to the delivery of the product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement, including USDA and FDA regulations
• Participates in existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches
• Oversight of all warehouse operations
• Manages warehouse operations to maximize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of delivery of finished goods to customers
• Executes special projects in a timely manner.
• Assists with establishing annual goals and objectives, in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Hires candidates, coaches and mentors effectively, and builds strong teams
• Collaborates easily with all levels of the organization and serves and contributes as a member of the organization’s Executive Management Team

About You

• Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)
• In lieu of degree, minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Minimum five years related experience in a high level management position with P&L responsibility
• Produce and/or food distribution experience required
• Working knowledge of USDA & FDA compliance
