Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to direct and coordinate operations under the guidance of the Manager and/or Director.

You will plan, monitor, and improve the efficiency and profitability of warehousing activities while ensuring materials flow from forecast to finished goods and delivery to customers. Qualifications include a four-year degree or 5+ years of senior management experience with P&L responsibility, knowledge of USDA & FDA regulations, and experience in

• Bilingual preferred (English - Spanish).
• In lieu of degree, minimum of 5 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, warehousing, and materials control.
• Develop forecasts and ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations.
• Participate in product planning processes to support launches.
• Oversee all warehouse operations.
• Maximize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of deliveries.
• Execute special projects in a timely manner.
• Assist with annual goal setting aligned with corporate objectives.
• Hire, coach and mentor effectively; build strong teams.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor, under the supervision of the Manager and/or Director, plans, directs and coordinates the operations of the organization. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Oversees the activities of all functions involved in the planning, warehousing and control of materials -- from the development of forecasted replenishment needs to the delivery of the product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers


• Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement, including USDA and FDA regulations


• Participates in existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches


• Oversight of all warehouse operations


• Manages warehouse operations to maximize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of delivery of finished goods to customers


• Executes special projects in a timely manner.


• Assists with establishing annual goals and objectives, in alignment with corporate objectives.


• Hires candidates, coaches and mentors effectively, and builds strong teams


• Collaborates easily with all levels of the organization and serves and contributes as a member of the organization’s Executive Management Team

About you:

• Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)

• Minimum five years related experience in a high level management position with P&L responsibility


• Produce and/or food distribution experience required


• Working knowledge of USDA & FDA compliance
