Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR – Operating Room in El Paso, Texas. This role involves direct clinical care, supervision of staff, and coordination of patient care across the shift.

Requirements include RN licensure, 1 year of RN experience for PRN status, and education from an accredited nursing program. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by policy. Evening shift, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience required for PRN status.
• AHA BLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by corporate policy for unit of hire.
• Currently licensed or eligible to practice as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care per shift.
• Supervise staff to which care is delegated.
• Support CNO to ensure high quality, safe nursing care and appropriate resource management.
• Administer medications safely and timely per hospital policy.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Fulfill HICS responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.
• Know hospital emergency codes and act according to policies.
