Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. in Middleboro, MA is hiring a Day Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in day programs and the community. The role includes personal care, ADL support, activity planning, and data documentation.

The position offers a hourly wage of $20.00–$22.25 with a Mon-Fri 8am-4pm schedule. Strong communication, safety awareness, and English proficiency are required. Union AFSCME represented.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience implementing behavioral support plans and emergency physical interventions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with brain injury or developmental/physical disabilities.
• Ability to record data, enter time worked, and use email.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Good English reading and writing skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in day programs and community to foster growth and independence.
• Assist with ADL, personal care, mobility, dressing and range of motion exercises.
• Support activities of daily living, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and money management.
• Use Positive Behavior Supports to create a respectful environment.
• Assist with planning and implementing ISP/DHSP plans and behavioral plans.
• Transport individuals to activities; record data at shift end.
• Restrain individuals only with approved techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas.
