Job summary

CUST-O-FAB is seeking experienced Welders to join our Beaumont shop team in Beaumont, TX. Welders will produce quality welds for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers, following welding procedures and specs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and welding experience in industrial manufacturing. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and the ability to read blueprints and AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to complete required weld qualification testing.
• Experience reading weld procedures and AutoCAD drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while working on the shop floor.
• Read and interpret blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, weld procedures, and weld symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and perform required welding processes.
• Weld components for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers according to approved procedures and applicable codes.
• Maintain a weld X-ray repair rate of less than 5%.
• Inspect welds and perform necessary grinding, gouging, and repairs to correct weld defects.
• Work with Quality Control to ensure welds meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain required weld qualifications and code weld stamps.
• Complete assigned work within established timeframes while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
