Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Zone/Service Center Warehouse Supervisor in Irving, TX to oversee warehouse operations, staff, security procedures and WMS processes. The role ensures timely customer service and efficient inventory control, with a base salary starting at $56,000 and potential bonuses based on metrics.

The position involves supervising a team, training staff, coordinating workloads, and ensuring safety and equipment use. Strong leadership, communication, and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Ability to lift/move inventory up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform activities of employees engaged in loading, unloading, selection, packing, shipping, receiving, wire cutting and inventory control; ensure efficient, accurate and timely customer service to meet service goals.
• May assist in these activities as needed.
• Perform supervisory functions including training and assigning work to two or more warehouse employees; arrange for additional help when needed.
• Perform physical requirements to lift and move inventory; operate warehouse equipment per manufacturers' instructions.
• Maintain equipment, safety, security of merchandise; inspect loading operations for compliance with shipping specs.
• Compile records of unshipped orders; post weights and shipping charges; prepare bills of lading and reports.
• Oversee yearly inventory and daily cycle counts; participate on Steering Committee; expedite special projects.
