Job summary

Gold Star Foods is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to help ensure accurate intake of goods for a leading food distributor serving K-12 schools. You will inspect shipments, verify quantities, and record inventory, all while maintaining strict safety and sanitation practices.

Ideal candidates have warehouse receiving experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks. The role supports a fast-paced warehouse environment with regular overtime and steady daytime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in warehouse receiving or food distribution preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Inspect and report any damage or discrepancies.
• Verify quantities against purchase orders.
• Record inventory in the warehouse system.
• Label and store items in designated locations.
• Prepare daily receiving reports.
• Coordinate with drivers and suppliers to ensure timely receiving.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving area.
