Job summary

Pet Food Express in California is seeking a Warehouse Custodian to support efficient operations and maintain a clean, safe environment in our DC. The role requires using cleaning equipment such as an industrial sweeper and electric pallet jack, with physical duties including walking, standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Non-exempt, temporary FT with potential for permanent conversion.

Qualifications

• 6 months custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Capable of repetitive tasks with high attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Clean spills and place safety signage.
• Follow safety policies and PPE usage.
• Clean and restock bathrooms and lunchroom areas.
• Clean out refrigerators and sanitize surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust assigned areas.
• Operate custodial equipment as needed.
• Bale recyclables and sort waste.
• Assist with seasonal tasks and special projects.
