Job summary

Wastequip Mount Sterling is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a skilled manufacturing team in the garbage truck/container industry. You will pick orders, release shipments, and assist with packing while ensuring accurate item selection and proper labeling for shipping. The role requires teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Typical shift is 7:00AM - 3:30PM with hourly pay of $18.00. Forklift experience is a plus, and overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment.
• Must be 18 or over.
• Ability to work overtime if required.
• Ability to unload, check-in, count and sort incoming products to verify receipt of items on bill of lading and Packing Lists.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for handling and delivery of raw material and parts to other departments including shipping, loading and receiving.
• Reads batch sheets/customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Compares items packed with customer’s order and other identifying data.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Examine stock and shipment details to verify conformance to Vendor Compliance.
• Assist with proper product procedures, such as bagging, labeling, and boxing.
• Fastens postage to outbound packages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
