Job summary

Wastequip Inc. is seeking an Assembly Operator 1 to join our Mt Sterling, KY manufacturing team. The role runs 7:00AM - 3:30PM and pays $18.00 per hour.

You will assemble components based on work orders and blueprints, pack finished goods, and ensure quality and safety standards on the shop floor. Responsibilities include interpreting specifications, moving parts with a forklift if needed, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Be able to work on your feet for long periods.
• Able to lift between 25-50 lbs.
• Warehouse experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Previous Assembly experience is preferred.
• Be able to pass EHS training.

Responsibilities

• Receives and interprets work orders and specifications to assemble and pack components.
• Assembles parts to complete sub-assemblies and final product kits.
• May use a forklift or pump cart to move goods around the shop floor.
• Inspects products for quality and packages per Wastequip specifications.
• Maintains a safe, clean work area and wears required PPE on the shop floor.
• Reports unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor or lead hand.
• Performs 5-S practices and keeps tools organized and area clean.
• Supports continuous improvement within the team and department.
