As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs and alert veterinarians to any issues.
5. Identify patients at risk of arrest and initiate CPR.
6. Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications appropriately.
7. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
9. Mentor and train colleagues.
10. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
