Nazdar Company in Lenexa, KS is seeking a general production support role focused on utility rotation and cleaning of process containers. The position involves preparing tubs, tending equipment, and following safety and quality procedures to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tubs by scrapping and scrubbing for tub machine.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment per specifications.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous waste per policy; monitor caustic and sludge.
  • Drain and clean tub machine and related systems on schedule.
  • Assist in general plant cleanup and maintain cleanliness on the floor.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new staff on tasks and safety.
  • Keep work area clean and secure at end of day.
  • Follow safety, quality, and efficiency SOPs.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to perform utility rotation assisting co-workers by cleaning and preparing process containers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares tubs by scrapping and scrubbing for insertion into tub machine.
  • Tends equipment in a production/processing operation, follow production/processing specification or instruction.
  • Assists in handling and disposing of hazardous waste appropriately according to policy and procedures and monitors caustic and sludge levels in tub machines.
  • Drains and cleans tub machine weekly, drains sludge from tower weekly, drains spigot solvents tank bi-weekly, and drains and crushes used drums.
  • Assists in general plant clean up functions working through out factory which could consist of mopping floors, taking out trash, or other duties that go along with maintaining cleanliness in factory.
  • Assist in the training, onboarding, and cross-training of new and existing employees on job tasks, processes, equipment, quality standards, and safety procedures as assigned.
  • Clean and secure work area at the end of the workday.
  • Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.

Physical Demands
  • to stand for long periods of time
