Job summary

Dodge County Hospital in Nebraska seeks an Ultrasound Tech (Days) on a PRN schedule. The Registered Ultrasound Echo Technologist performs ultrasound and echocardiographic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and ensuring accurate image acquisition.

Responsibilities include transthoracic echocardiograms, image optimization, patient preparation, and EMR documentation, with on-call and holiday rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• ARDMS RDMS or RDCS or equivalent certification required.
• One year ultrasound/echocardiography experience preferred; new graduates considered with registry.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures within the scope of practice.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and measurements for physician interpretation.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients for testing.
• Participate in weekends, holidays, evening, and on-call rotations as assigned.
