Job summary

Papé Group is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic for the day shift in Oregon. You will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 and 8 trucks, diagnosing and repairing to maximize uptime and safety.

This role requires in-depth mechanical and electrical expertise, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a busy shop environment. Training, competitive pay, and solid benefits accompany a family-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks; engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC, and chassis repair.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness; ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills; must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks in the shop to ensure timely, accurate repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions, determine action, and return trucks to peak performance.
• Maintain and service trucks to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality work with safety and quality at the forefront.
