Job summary

St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall, SD is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to ensure accurate receipt, verification, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies.

The role supports inventory integrity through cycle counts, par level replenishment, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure timely availability of critical items. Responsibilities include requisition creation, shelf maintenance, order picking, rush/emergency fulfillment, and routine inventory counting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year in inventory control, materials management, or supply chain operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create requisitions to refill par locations and restock shelves.
• Update shelf labels and Kanban cards; assist with out-of-date management.
• Pick and dispense inventory from ERP via handheld device; deliver within 24–48 hours.
• FIll and deliver rush and emergency orders; respond to urgent supply needs.
• Conduct cycle counts to audit inventory accuracy; reconcile discrepancies.
• Receive, inspect, and unpack incoming freight; note shortages or damage.
• Record PO receipts in ERP and retain packing slips per policy.
• Deliver supplies to departments daily; create shipping labels for courier or outbound shipments.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
