Exploreelginarea is seeking a dependable Shipper Packer for the 1st shift in Elgin, IL. You will prepare, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

This daytime warehouse role emphasizes attention to detail and safe material handling, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and a pay rate of $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for shipment by picking, packing, and verifying against shipping documentation.
• Package materials according to company and carrier requirements to prevent damage during transit.
• Generate, apply, and verify shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (if certified).
• Stage completed shipments for pickup by carriers.
• Verify shipment accuracy, quantities, and part numbers prior to shipment.
• Communicate shipment issues, shortages, or damages to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
