Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Full Time Security Guard in Meridian, ID. The role pays $20.00 per hour with a Mon-Fri 7:00–15:00 schedule. The Guard helps maintain a safe environment, controls access, and patrols client sites, performing rounds and incident reporting.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma/GED, strong customer service, calm under pressure, and the ability to work independently. Pre-employment screening is required, including drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property in various weather conditions.
• Occasional COVID-19 screening.
• Interacting with vagrants and transients.
• Follow HIPPA guidelines.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
