Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time - Mornings in East Dubuque, IL. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service in a chemical and petrochemical site environment.

Responsibilities include controlling access, documenting incidents, and maintaining a calm, professional presence to deter hazards. Must meet minimum requirements and pass background and drug screenings where law permits.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform regular patrols and monitor facilities.
• Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility grounds, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and shift documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
