Job summary

Parkway School District in the St. Louis area is seeking a day shift Custodian at Bellerive Elementary.

This 12-month, 8-hour position runs 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and is non-exempt, with starting pay of $17.50 per hour and opportunity to progress with verifiable experience. The role focuses on cleaning, floor care, bathroom sanitation, trash removal and light moving of furniture, supporting a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications

• Proven stable employment history and attendance.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English for safety.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Mobility to move around the school and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to a safe, healthy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks to maintain floors, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Vacuuming, wet mopping, cleaning, stocking bathrooms and disposing of trash.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to support cleaning operations.
• Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe work environment for students and staff.
