Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Pre-Op/Post Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN). The role focuses on direct patient care using the nursing process for a defined patient group and time frame. Requirements include ADN, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Trauma certifications (TNCC/ATLS/TCAR within 1 year).

Prior PACU/ICU/ER experience is preferred. You will work in a fast-paced environment within the Medical Education Building.

Qualifications

• ADN required and Texas RN license active.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Trauma certifications (TNCC/ATLS/TCAR) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for a designated group of patients.
• Coordinate care with the health team and ensure patient safety.
